Skip the takeout! This stir fry beef with noodles is super easy to make and only takes 30 minutes of your time. It’s just as fast to cook this simple one-pot meal at home and you are using fresh ingredients.

In this stir fry dish you are able to control the sodium, type of protein (beef, chicken, shrimp, tofu) and amount of veggies you would like to add in.

Play around with adding in different vegetables such as:

  • Mushrooms
  • Asparagus
  • Snow Peas
  • Green beans

You can probably find a pre-made stir-fry veggie blend at the store. Or you can chop up your own broccoli, carrots and red bell pepper for the vegetable options!

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 3 to 4 packages stir fry noodles
  • 1 lb. stir-fry beef strips (pre-cut at store if available)
  • 2 cups broccoli, diced small
  • ½ cup carrots, Julienned
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced in thin strips

For the sauce: (half is for the beef marinade, half is for the veggies)

  • 2 tsp. Hoisin
  • 4 Tbsp. Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 4 tsp. Sesame Oil
  • 2 tsp. Oyster Sauce
  • 2 tsp. Red Pepper Chili Flakes
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder

Instructions

Place the beef in a medium sized bowl and marinate in half of the sauce recipe for 10 minutes: 1 tsp. Hoisin, 2 Tbsp. soy sauce, 2 tsp. sesame, 1 tsp. oyster, 1 tsp, red pepper flakes, and 1/2 tsp. garlic powder.

Bring water to boil for the stir fry noodles.

While the meat is marinating, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat and then add in prepared veggies. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add in the remaining sauce and cook for another 5 minutes. Add in the steak strips and stir until veggies begin to soften and meat is fully cooked, about 8 minutes.

Your water for the noodles should be boiling by this point, place the noodles in and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes (or according to package directions), then drain. Add the noodles to the beef and vegetables. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Enjoy!
