Product reviewed: Cook’s Innovations Spoontula’s Set of 2 and Spoon Rest

You can never have too many spatulas (why do they always seem to go missing?) and with a matching spoon rest, you really can’t go wrong.  As someone who is in the kitchen for both work and play, this set is a lifesaver.

The Cook’s Innovations Spoontula is a cross between a spoon and a spatula.A Spoontula Set and Spoon Rest for Every Day Use - Its exterior is made of food-safe silicone, which is heat resistant up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit; the spoontula’s interior is durable nylon, making it strong enough for any job. The set comes with one medium (orange) and one large (red). Also made of food-grade silicone, the Cook’s Innovations Spoon Rest fits both spoontulas and comes in two colors: red and charcoal.

Perhaps my favorite trait of the spoontula is its unique spoon-spatula shape, which makes it easy to scrape food from the corners of pots, pans, cans and jars, so no food is left behind. Not only is there less food waste, but also dish-washing is a bit easier since there aren’t crusted food bits in the corners of cookware. I also enjoy having two sizes of spoontula; I can use the medium-sized one for smaller jobs, such as scraping the last bit of peanut butter out of the jar, and use the larger one for bigger jobs, such as mixing a quick bread batter. They’re both sturdy enough for any job.

The charcoal-colored spoon rest matches my décor and looks nice in my kitchen while helping to keep my countertops clean. If it gets grimy, I can toss it in the dishwasher or give it a quick wash in the sink. The spoon rest is large enough to fit both of the spoontulas or a wooden spoon. I like that all of the Cook’s Innovations items can withstand high-heat cooking, so I can use them for nearly all of my kitchen tasks.

Costing $12.99 for the spoontulas set and $8.99 for the spoon rest, both items are affordable products I use every day in my kitchen. Because they are dishwasher-safe, heat-resistant up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, have a core made of strong nylon and because of their unique shapes and flexibility, I would highly recommend these products to home cooks.
